photography in the South Carolina Lowcountry, we here at Richard Bell
Photography continue to lead the way in creative digital imaging,

experience. We combine traditional, posed portraiture, fun, romantic
photography, and creative, storytelling photojournalism to build a poignant
collection of photographs in a gorgeous library-bound album which will
become a treasured family heirloom for years to come. Simultaneously,
we take full advantage of the flexibility provided by our medium, by
offering a wide variety of touch ups and special effects, the option
of black and white or sepia on any of our color pictures, faster-than-ever

Our medium allows us to take more
pictures and take them faster. 
At our average wedding we take between 700 and 1000 exposures (an unthinkable
number of exposures for most film photographers), which
means we catch more of those special 'spur of the moment' shots
that truly communicate the emotions of the day. Digital also reduces
the time needed to do lengthy light readings, so our traditional posed
shots take less time.
We know that the traditional shots can be
some of the most beautiful and treasured pictures in your album, but
we do not believe that a photographer should constantly be posing people
and creating events. 
This
is YOUR day, and it is our job to capture it as professionally and creatively
as possible without making it OUR day. We are experts at quickly posing
and photographing large family groups and wedding parties, as well as
romantic shots of the bride and groom at a minimal expense of time.
The rest of the time, we caput re the fun, emotions, and people of the
day as events happen, using multiple lighting and unique angles, in
a spontaneous, photojournalistic approach.
We believe that the experience of having
your wedding photographed should be an exciting, positive, and memorable
event. We wish to always create works of art of and for your family,
an album that tells a story of your unique day, family, character and
relationship.
